How can we change your smile?
We have many ways to change your smile, from improving the colour alone to a complete Smile Makeover. It may be one dark tooth that you hate, maybe you never wore your braces as a child, maybe you never knew you had an option to change your smile, what ever your reason we can give you the smile of your dreams.

Smile Makeovers can take as little as two weeks, are invariably painless, & can literally change your life! As drastic as that seems, many patients report a boost in their confidence which can lead to other life changing situations! A new job, promotion even a new partner!

Once the work has been completed it should give many years of trouble free service. Excellent homecare along with normal routine examinations should be carried out together with regular visits to the Hygienist to ensure the health of the gums.

The most important thing is that we are happy to work at a pace that suits you best - although experience tells us that, once the decision is made, it can never happen quickly enough for most people!

Free consultation with our Treatment Coordinator
One of the most important parts of the whole procedure is the initial consultation, offered free of charge, where we discuss all the physical considerations with you to best determine the precise dental enhancements required. We also take the opportunity to talk through the emotional aspects of the procedure too - like any cosmetic surgery, thought needs to be given to your hopes & expectations & we pride ourselves in offering a level of patient care & support that matches our clinical expertise.

You'll be given a rough idea of the likely final cost these are confirmed & presented prior to your Preparation Appointment.

Clinical Examination
The next stage would be an appointment with a Dental Surgeon for a comprehensive examination to check all is healthy (this includes a soft tissue exam & an oral cancer check), we will carry out a smile analysis to establish what improvements we can make. We take a series of photos & impressions to case-study models of your smile now. These can be used to create a wax mock-up of how you would like your new smile to look.

Hygiene Appointment
The health of your gums will be the main deciding factor as to long term stability of your mouth. There is increasing evidence from our medical colleagues of links with gum disease & systemic health. Our team of hygienists have the latest equipment & up to date knowledge available in order to evaluate, treat & help you maintain the health of your mouth.

Treatment & prevention of disease will always be our priority.

Stage One - Trial Smile
This is a fairly long appointment so it's best to put aside a morning or afternoon. You'll be given a painless local anaesthetic before the Doctor undertakes some gentle reshaping of your teeth & completes any necessary laser work. After taking impressions, he then hand builds temporary veneers based on the wax mock-up, spending considerable time refining & customizing the new smile.

After living with the trial smile for a few days, we invite you back in to give us your feedback - are you happy with the general shape & feel, do you like the colour, is there anything you'd like to change?

Stage Two - Fitting Appointment
This takes place 2 - 3 weeks later & again another morning or afternoon would be required. The temporary veneers are carefully removed. The new smile is tried in the mouth & reviewed, once you are happy & approve, the new smile is permanently bonded into place.

The Dr. will see you about a week later just to re-check that the bite has settled. We also take this opportunity to do some 'after' photo's & we will happily supply you with your own set of 'before' & 'after' shots.
