Gum Treatment

Periodontal disease otherwise know as gum disease will require gum treatment. All of our patients at Start-Smiling are screened regularly with state of the art Florida Probe to see if they have Periodontal disease. You should mention to your dentist or hygienist if you notice any of the following.

Red swollen gums

Gums that bleed easily

Loose gums

Pus between the teeth

Persistent bad breath

Loose teeth or a change in the way your teeth bite together

If you do suffer from Periodontal Disease, you will be at higher risk of other major health problems such as heart disease, miscarriage or penile dysfunction. Please see our news page.

If you show any signs of periodontal disease it is so important that you undergo Gum Treatment with our hygienists. If it is severe enough then you may require a referral to our carefully chosen specialist.
