Veinwave

Revolutionary Veinwave
The most effective treatment available for:

· Thread veins · Rosacea· Linear veins · Nasal / cheek veins· Vascular blemishes· General redness

How does thermo-coagulation therapy work?
The Veinwave works by utilizing the process of thermo-coagulation. The energy created by the high frequency current produces a thermal lesion & the immediate disappearance of the vein while preserving the epidermis. All that may remain is a tiny circular red mark that disappears to leave a micro-crust which itself disappears usually in a matter of days. Local anaesthetic gel can be used but is not necessary.

It is not to be confused with electrolysis, which is commonly used in beauty salons. Some beauty therapists do treat thread veins on the face using electrolysis but they need to be highly skilled as it can be very painful, there is more risk for complications & the result is not as satisfactory.

How many treatments and how often?
The number of treatments required will depend on the extent of the affected area & will be estimated at your consultation. Treatments are usually planned at 3 - 6 week intervals.

Is Veinwave treatment safe?
Yes. There is no evidence of complications after Veinwave treatment; however treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or for patients with epilepsy or a pacemaker. Only medically qualified & fully trained staff carry out the treatment in our clinic.

Are all thread veins suitable for Veinwave?
Not all thread veins will respond to veinwave therapy. On the legs some veins may be too large & in these cases Sclerotherapy may be more effective.

Can all fine veins be removed?
Thermo-coagulation with the NEW Veinwave& Sclerotherapy can be used to clear most thread veins. However, some veins will not respond to either treatment & no treatment can completely restore skin to a ‘’porcelain’’ like condition.

Your experience
The treatment last approximately 20 minutes depending on the area treated. There is usually minimal or no discomfort during the treatment. The device uses a fine needle which is inserted into the sub epidermal skin above the vein to allow accurate application whilst protecting the surrounding skin & tissue. After a treatment the treated veins may appear reddened, raised & indeed more prominent than before the treatment. Micro-crusting may develop on the area that has been treated. Occasionally there is a slight increase in colour at the treated site. This usually subsides after 7 - 21 days. You can resume immediately to your usual activities following this treatment.
