SmileFast Smile Makeovers in Ingatestone
A Fast, Minimally Invasive Smile Makeover
Have your smile designed and treated by the dentists who help teach SmileFast to other dentists.
Dr Tom Sealey is a co-inventor and co-owner of SmileFast, a fully accredited member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and winner of Best Aesthetic Dentist in the UK in 2019. Dr Tony Aneiros is a SmileFast clinical mentor, teaching and guiding other dentists in composite bonding alongside Tom. Together, they bring more than 40 years of clinical experience.
SmileFast combines digital planning, a trial smile and precision-guided composite bonding to enhance your teeth through an additive approach. With careful design and artistic finishing, we create natural-looking smiles while preserving healthy tooth structure wherever possible.
Whether you want your first smile makeover or are unhappy with previous composite work, we can help you explore the possibilities.

What Is SmileFast?
SmileFast is a digital workflow for designing, previewing and delivering composite smile makeovers.
Composite bonding adds tooth-coloured resin to your teeth to improve their shape, repair chips, rebuild worn edges or close suitable gaps. When composite covers the front surface of a tooth, it is often called a composite veneer.
We begin with photographs, optical scans and an assessment of your teeth, gums and bite. Your proposed smile is designed digitally and transferred into a temporary trial smile, allowing you to explore the shapes before committing to treatment.
Custom-made guides help reproduce the agreed design accurately in composite. Detailed shaping, artistic characterisation and polishing then bring the restorations to life.
The approach is additive: building onto teeth rather than removing healthy tooth structure. Suitable smile makeovers can be completed without drilling the natural teeth.
Why Choose SmileFast?
SmileFast allows you to take an active part in designing your smile. You can try the proposed tooth shapes, discuss adjustments and understand the plan before the final treatment begins.
It can improve chipped edges, uneven proportions, small spaces and worn teeth while preserving healthy tooth structure. Straightening or whitening first may make the result even more conservative.
Composite also offers considerable artistic versatility. Carefully chosen shades, subtle translucency and natural surface texture can reproduce the appearance of real teeth. Our aim is for your restorations to blend so convincingly that people notice your smile rather than your dentistry.
Composite can be polished, repaired and refreshed over time. For suitable patients, this makes it a practical way to improve their smile and confidence without committing to more extensive tooth preparation.

SmileFast At Start Smiling, What Makes Us Different?
Tom’s full BACD accreditation and Best Aesthetic Dentist in the UK award recognise his cosmetic expertise. Tony brings over 20 years of aesthetic and restorative experience, combining careful functional planning with an artistic eye. We are also the dentists who treat dentists, with colleagues trusting us with their own smiles.
Our cosmetic work has appeared in publications including the International Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, Aesthetic Dentistry Magazine and Clinical Dentistry Magazine, as well as manufacturers’ literature distributed internationally. Our achievements include awards for conservative smile makeovers and minimal intervention dentistry, Best Aesthetic Practice in 2019, and winner of the best ‘Composite Smile Makeover’ at the Dentistry Clinical Case Awards 2024.
Composite bonding describes a material and technique, but the quality of the finished work varies considerably. Poorly planned or placed restorations can look bulky or artificial, interfere with the bite and make cleaning difficult.
At Start Smiling, we spend considerable time assessing, designing and finishing your smile. Colour transitions, translucency, contours, surface texture and polish all matter, alongside a comfortable bite and cleanable margins. These details help create restorations that closely resemble natural teeth.
Tom and Tony also increasingly assess patients dissatisfied with previous composite treatment. We identify the problems and explain whether refinement, repair or replacement is appropriate, preserving the underlying teeth wherever possible.

Who Is SmileFast Suitable For?
SmileFast may suit you if you want to improve chipped, worn, uneven or undersized teeth, close suitable gaps or create a more balanced smile.
It may also help if you have had composite bonding elsewhere and are unhappy with its shape, colour, bulk or finish. We assess the existing work carefully before recommending changes; replacing everything is not always necessary.
Your teeth and gums need to be healthy, and there must be appropriate space for the additions. Straightening first can sometimes prevent an overly bulky result, while whitening before bonding can help achieve your preferred shade.
Whether you want a subtle enhancement or a broader transformation, we’ll explain the options and recommend treatment around your dental health, bite and goals.

What Does SmileFast Treatment Involve?
Your SmileFast journey follows a structured, carefully planned process.

How Long Does SmileFast Treatment Take?
Digital planning makes the placement stage efficient. Depending on the number of teeth and complexity, the composite makeover may be placed during one treatment visit.
Your full journey includes assessment, design, a trial smile and review. Replacing previous bonding or completing preliminary hygiene care, whitening or straightening may require additional appointments.
We allow the time needed for careful placement and finishing. Efficiency comes from preparation and planning, while the fine details receive the attention they deserve.

How Much Does SmileFast Cost?
SmileFast composite bonding starts from £250 per tooth.
The total depends on the number of teeth, treatment complexity and level of artistic characterisation required. More intricate layering or replacement of existing restorations may involve additional time and a different fee.
We’ll explain the available options and provide a personalised estimate, including any separate planning or preliminary treatment costs. Our team can also discuss available finance options.
Caring For Your SmileFast Results
Regular examinations, effective home cleaning and professional hygiene care help protect your teeth and the tissues around your bonding.
Composite can stain, chip or wear over time. Professional polishing can refresh its finish, and localised damage can often be repaired. Some restorations will eventually need replacement.
Tom and Tony work closely with our experienced hygiene team to support long-term maintenance. We’ll explain how to clean around your restorations, avoid damaging habits and whether a protective appliance is appropriate if you grind or clench.
If your smile makeover follows orthodontic treatment, wearing your retainers as advised remains essential.
